Seriously, won't it be nice to have a President who can give a great speech? Who can, um, string words together right? And know what they means? And pronounces them correctly? AND SAYS THE RIGHT THINGS?

Man, it's been a long time in the wilderness. It's wonderful to be coming home.

I'll admit, I don't normally pay much attention to speeches in my own country, let alone elsewhere. But that was a fantastic speech - one that will be remembered.

It was amazing, and with the extended music after the speech over the hugging and celebrating I was convinced that I was watching the end of an Aaron Sorkin movie. :) But OMG, I cannot believe we finally got one right!

I was thinking the same thing--I watched a West Wing marathon in preparation for the election, and the possibility of actually living it?

I had a little of that feeling too. I loved watching all the smiling people.

He speaks such beautiful words. :) I pray he'll back them up with action and try to unite this divided country.

I sat and watched the speech with a cup of cocoa in my hands and pondered the fact that I would soon have a President that would not compel me to turn off the TV as fast as possible. That when a crisis comes and the president speaks it might actually help.

It feels strange.

I began crying somewhere in the middle. I have so few words tonight, but so much pride, hope, and joy overflowing from my heart.

Isn't -this- amazing in oh so many ways?

"Science and imagination." We have elected a president who uses the phrase "science and imagination" in his victory speech. In a positive way.

Wow.

I don't believe I have heard such an eloquent president since I was 8 years old, and listened to the inauguration speech of John F. Kennedy.

I'm beyond thrilled. On Air America this morning they played a string of "goofs" by Bush. Boy that will be nice not to have that anymore!!!

Oh, and yes, OMG What A Great Speech!!

It will be wonderful not to feel like cringing every time our President opens his mouth.
